Advising hold removal

All mechanical and nuclear engineering students are assigned a faculty advisor. A list of advisors is available in the mechanical and nuclear engineering office (East Hall E-3221). Each student must submit this form to the office to have their advising registration hold removed prior to registration each semester.

Course sequence (flowchart)

It is recommended that students meet the curriculum requirements in mechanical engineering (and with optional nuclear engineering concentration) over a period of four years. The department offers the following course sequence diagrams to enable our students to plan, register and successfully meet the requirements of our programs.

The course sequence diagrams become applicable based on the semester and year of enrollment. This is referred to as the bulletin year. Refer to the VCU Bulletins for official graduation requirements.  Select a bulletin year below to review the diagram.

Course worksheet

These worksheets are a tool that helps students stay the course for graduation and complete their graduation application.

Select the sheet that corresponds to the semester of your entry into the mechanical engineering program and follow the instructions provided in the sheet. Refer to the VCU Bulletins for official graduation requirements.

Internship application form

Students must submit an Internship Approval Form to the department office to have their internship approved by the department chair.
